Overview
A complex of polypeptides extracted from calf thymus gland. Used in Russia and Eastern Europe for immune modulation, particularly in the context of aging, immunodeficiency, and post-surgical immune recovery. Studied by Vladimir Khavinson alongside Epithalon. Very limited Western clinical data. Requires reconstitution.
Mechanism of Action
Restores T-cell function, modulates cytokine production, and enhances immune surveillance. Promotes thymic function which naturally declines with aging (thymic involution).
