Overview
Compounded testosterone cream applied to scrotal skin, which has ~5-40x higher absorption than non-scrotal skin due to thinner stratum corneum. Produces higher DHT levels than other testosterone delivery methods due to high 5-alpha-reductase activity in scrotal tissue. Used by some TRT clinics specifically for this DHT effect.
Mechanism of Action
Scrotal skin has dramatically higher testosterone permeability than other body sites. High local 5-alpha-reductase converts more testosterone to DHT, producing a distinct hormonal profile.
