Overview
Transdermal patch applied nightly to back, abdomen, upper arm, or thigh. Designed to mimic diurnal testosterone rhythm — nighttime application produces a morning peak. High rate of skin irritation (30-60% of users). Less commonly prescribed than gel.
Mechanism of Action
Controlled-release patch delivers testosterone through the skin at a constant rate over 24 hours. Nighttime application mimics the natural circadian testosterone peak.
