Overview
Transdermal testosterone gel applied daily to shoulders, upper arms, or abdomen. Produces the most physiologically stable testosterone levels of any TRT delivery method. ~10% absorption rate. Transfer risk to partners/children via skin contact (FDA black box warning).
Mechanism of Action
Testosterone absorbs through the skin into systemic circulation. Continuous transdermal delivery approximates steady-state levels within 2-3 days of daily application.
