Overview

Dopamine agonist used as an alternative to cabergoline for prolactin management. Shorter half-life means more frequent dosing but faster washout if side effects occur.

Mechanism of Action

Non-ergot dopamine D2/D3 receptor agonist. Suppresses prolactin via direct dopaminergic stimulation of the pituitary.
