Overview
Potent oral AAS. FDA-approved for treatment of anemias caused by deficient red blood cell production (aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis, hypoplastic anemias). One of the most powerful oral AAS — rapid and dramatic strength and mass gains. 17-alpha-alkylated. Harm reduction: Highly hepatotoxic — monitor liver enzymes closely. Causes significant water retention and blood pressure elevation. Dramatically impacts lipid profiles. Do not use for extended periods (typical cycles 4-6 weeks). Do not combine with other hepatotoxic oral AAS. Avoid alcohol during use. Despite being a DHT derivative, can cause estrogenic side effects through a mechanism not fully understood (possibly direct estrogen receptor activation).
Mechanism of Action
DHT derivative. 17-alpha-alkylated. Does not aromatize but can cause estrogenic effects through suspected direct ER activation. Potent erythropoietic effect.
