Overview

Mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded in the 12S rRNA gene of mitochondrial DNA. Naturally produced during exercise. Promotes metabolic homeostasis, insulin sensitivity, and has been shown to prevent obesity in animal models. Used in the longevity/biohacking community. Very limited human PK data. Requires reconstitution with BAC water.

Mechanism of Action

Activates AMPK pathway, improves glucose regulation, enhances fatty acid oxidation, and promotes metabolic homeostasis. Acts as an exercise mimetic at the cellular level.
