Overview

Synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). Primarily used for skin tanning (melanogenesis) and sexual dysfunction. Activates multiple melanocortin receptors (MC1R for tanning, MC4R for sexual function). Not approved by any regulatory agency. Associated with side effects including nausea, facial flushing, and mole darkening. Requires reconstitution with BAC water.

Mechanism of Action

Non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist. MC1R activation stimulates melanin production (tanning). MC4R activation increases sexual arousal. MC3R activation affects energy homeostasis.
