Overview

Fixed-ratio combination of rapid/short-acting + intermediate-acting insulin in a single injection. Simplifies dosing for patients who need both basal and mealtime coverage. Multiple ratio formulations available.

Mechanism of Action

Suspension containing both rapid-acting (or regular) insulin for immediate prandial coverage and NPH (protamine-complexed) insulin for intermediate basal coverage, in a fixed ratio.
