Overview

Rapid-acting insulin analogue. Third option alongside lispro and aspart for mealtime bolus coverage. Similar pharmacokinetic profile.

Mechanism of Action

Recombinant insulin analogue with asparagine B3 replaced by lysine and lysine B29 replaced by glutamic acid, enabling rapid absorption from subcutaneous depot.
