Overview
Intermediate-duration injectable estrogen. Not FDA-approved as standalone; available as a component of Mesigyna (combined injectable contraceptive) and from compounding pharmacies. Similar ester chain length to testosterone enanthate.
Mechanism of Action
Prodrug: enanthate ester is hydrolyzed in vivo, releasing active 17β-estradiol.
