Overview
Short-acting drostanolone ester. Originally approved as Drolban/Masteril for treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal patients. Discontinued for that indication. DHT derivative — does not aromatize to estrogen, making it popular in cutting cycles and contest prep. May have mild anti-estrogenic properties. Harm reduction: As a DHT derivative, may accelerate male-pattern hair loss in genetically susceptible individuals. Does not aromatize — no estrogenic side effects but also means estrogen can be suppressed too low if combined with an AI. Monitor lipid panel and hair loss.
Mechanism of Action
DHT derivative (2alpha-methyldihydrotestosterone). Cannot aromatize to estrogen. Mild anti-estrogenic activity. Moderate anabolic, moderate androgenic.
